Postdoctoral Researcher in Statistical Theory for Biological Neural Networks

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher to join our team at the University of Twente as a postdoctoral researcher in statistical theory for biological neural networks. The successful candidate will be part of an ERC consolidator grant and will work on generalizing the recent statistical theory from artificial neural networks to biological neural networks.
About the ProjectThe project aims to provide insights into how the brain learns and may lead to recommendations on how to make AI more efficient with less data. The research will be conducted in a highly stimulating scientific environment with enthusiastic colleagues.
Your Profile- You have, or will shortly, acquire a PhD in the field of Statistics, Mathematics, or similar.
- You have a creative mindset and excellent analytical and communication skills.
- You are fluent in English.
- You will be appointed for a period of maximum 3 years full-time within a very stimulating scientific environment.
- Your salary and associated conditions are in accordance with the collective labour agreement for Dutch universities (CAO-NU).
- You will have access to excellent research facilities and support for professional and personal development.
