Operational Excellence at Odido

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our team at Odido. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing systems software that improves the stability, scalability, availability, and robustness of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop systems software to improve operational excellence;
  • Develop patterns for automation, instrumentation, and monitoring;
  • Take ownership of several services and products;
  • Automate operational issues instead of manually fixing them;
  • Develop and implement strategies for effective monitoring and observability;
  • Lead outage response calls and participate in incident resolution;
  • Triage and fix system issues in a distributed landscape;
  • Participate in on-call rotation and improve incident-response processes;
  • Advocate for engineering best practices and mentor junior engineers;
  • Contribute to Odido's growth through interviewing and onboarding;

Requirements

  • Experience with public cloud infrastructure and related technologies;
  • Good understanding of storage and database systems, caching, and queueing;
  • Experience leading technical recoveries;
  • Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting distributed systems;
  • Ability to debug, optimize code, and automate routine operational tasks;
  • Solid foundation in Linux or Windows administration and troubleshooting;
  • Monitoring and observability technologies like Prometheus, Grafana, Kibana, and Elasticsearch are a plus;
  • Understanding of Service level agreements and objectives;
  • Excellent command of the English language;
  • Solid understanding of programming principles and good command of at least one programming language;
