About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Engineer to join our team at Boskalis. As a Data Science Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing data-driven solutions to improve the commercial and operational performance of our offshore energy business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement data science projects with and for the offshore energy business units to improve their performance.
  • Develop our capabilities in logistics simulation and optimization, utilizing Python packages to identify optimal execution methods.
  • Develop new tools and improve Python models used by the business units, collaborating closely with colleagues.
  • Create web apps and dashboards to guide operational and department teams with project activities, utilizing data fusion, algorithms, and visualizations.
Requirements
  • MSc (or BSc) degree in engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
  • Experience with analysis and development of data-driven models, including timeseries data, modeling, and simulation techniques.
  • Experience with Python-based software development.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, PySpark, or Databricks is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude, drive for curiosity, and a good command of written and spoken English.
