This program operates on a global scale, encompassing all three supply chain regions: North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. Its primary goal is to enhance purchasing efficiency across the entire value chain, ultimately leading to improved financial outcomes for Vanderlande. Success will be achieved through targeted savings initiatives, optimization of specific supply chains, global standardization, and the establishment of a future-ready operational model.
Your responsibility will be to assist the program team focused on purchasing with impact, which includes a program manager overseeing the daily execution of the program. The program manager is supported by various workstream leaders, each responsible for distinct areas within the overall program. Throughout your assignment, you will engage in multiple initiatives for different team members, collaborating with individuals from diverse backgrounds such as procurement, supply chain management, consultancy, and finance.

Role DescriptionThis working student position offers an opportunity to gain practical experience with significant impact in a multinational organization. Vanderlande is transitioning from an engineering-to-order (ETO) model to a configure-to-order (CTO) approach. This shift is expected to create synergies and economies of scale, delivering enhanced value to our customers through improved quality and competitive pricing. You will play a vital role in the program, contributing to the transformation of our purchasing organization to better support the transition from ETO to CTO by achieving superior pricing and reduced lead times.
Key ResponsibilitiesYour assignment will focus on assisting the program team in achieving their objectives across various workstreams, which may include workshop facilitation and project management office (PMO) activities related to savings and cost tracking.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Managing, reporting, and consolidating key performance indicators (KPIs) across the three regions: North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
- Conducting analytical tasks such as data preparation, analysis, insight generation, and reporting of findings.
- Supporting program management activities, including the creation of program communications and leading workshops in the purchasing and procurement domain.
- Overseeing smaller digital projects, such as spend analytics dashboard development and supplier performance analytics.
Essential skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI is required; familiarity with Smartsheet and Jira is advantageous.
- Soft skills: attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach.
- A minimum assignment duration of 3 months.
- 32-40 hours of work per week.
- Compensation of €15 per hour.
- 10% holiday hours.
- 8.33% holiday allowance.
- Weekly payment through Olympia.
