As a dedicated Geotechnical Earthquake Consultant, you will collaborate with a diverse team of geotechnical and geological engineers in an international setting. Your expertise will be crucial in providing guidance on various projects related to maritime structures, hydraulic engineering, infrastructure, airports, tunnels, dikes, land reclamation, and buildings, both within the Netherlands and globally.
Role Responsibilities
In your capacity as a Geotechnical Earthquake Consultant, you will engage in a range of projects, from high-profile multidisciplinary initiatives to smaller assignments that require specialized seismic input. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a specialist, design leader, or reviewer, delivering geotechnical seismic advice.
- Supervising and mentoring junior and medior colleagues.
- Contributing your specialist knowledge to complex engineering projects.
- Collaborating with colleagues from various international offices.
- Developing innovative solutions and ensuring effective geotechnical risk management.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for the Geotechnical Earthquake Consultant position should possess the following qualifications:
- A Master’s or PhD in Geo-Engineering, with a focus on Geological or Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Seismology.
- 5-15 years of relevant experience.
- Strong numerical skills and familiarity with digital tools and automation.
- Excellent collaboration and management abilities with diverse teams.
- A proactive and motivated approach, committed to technical excellence.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
- A flexible mindset and willingness to travel as needed.
