Kyocera Senco EMEA is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our team in Lelystad, Netherlands. As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the development of our European Automation business in the Fastening Industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and detail pneumatic and mechatronic systems, including stand-alone systems and systems integrated into machines or equipment.
- Translate new developments into working instructions for production, both in-house and external.
- Maintain data and drawings in the PDM system, prepare and maintain product documentation, and manage spare parts.
- Optimize internal engineering processes in collaboration with Production, Logistics, and Supply Chain Planning.
- Ensure European compliance with all Automation tools, including Machine Directives and CE.
- Conduct in-house testing and quality control on new tools.
- Provide external and internal training for Production, Technical Service, Sales, and Customers.
- Lead installations and provide post-launch validation and tracking.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably mechanical engineering, industrial automation, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in engineering and product development.
- Knowledge of legislation and standards related to machine development, such as the Machine Directive and CE.
- Strong knowledge of control systems and measurement and control technology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, 3D CAD (SolidWorks and Inventor), and PDM/PLM.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Confident, dynamic, and digitally savvy.
- Ability to argue based on data analytics and think outside the box.
- Proactive attitude and empathetic listener.
- Occasional travel and customer visits.
