At ICON, we're committed to advancing clinical research and developing innovative treatments. Our pharmaceutical operations team plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our studies.

We're seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing pharmacy technician operations, maintaining accurate documentation, and addressing any issues that may arise during studies.

The successful candidate will have a degree in sciences, preferably with a background in clinical pharmacy, and previous experience as a manager or QP. Fluency in English is essential, with Dutch language skills being beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of study medication receipts, dispensing, returns, and destruction.
  • Oversee pharmacy technician operations, including scheduling and workflow management.
  • Address any issues related to study medication during the duration of the study.
  • Familiarize yourself with protocol-specific requirements and ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate, account for, and dispense study medication according to protocol instructions and sponsor-provided data.
  • Attend study startup meetings to review pharmacy protocol procedures.
  • Ensure the maintenance and organization of medication rooms.
  • Carry out directives from the project manager, medical director, or principal investigator as required.
  • Maintain and educate staff on medication delivery systems as needed.
  • Prepare medication accountability documents as required by protocol.
  • Participate in client visits and communicate with sponsor representatives.

Requirements:

  • Degree in sciences, preferably with a background in clinical pharmacy.
  • Previous experience as a manager, QP, or in a related field.
  • Fluency in English; Dutch language skills are beneficial.
