ASML's Development and Engineering (D&E) division is tasked with the specification, design, and integration of ASML machines. Within this division, the Machine Conditioning DUV Scanner (MC DUV Scanner) department is responsible for specifying, designing, and functionally integrating various modules and architectures associated with Flow and Thermal domains. This department comprises discipline- and function-oriented teams, each emphasizing specific knowledge, skills, architectures, or modules within ASML machines.
As a Lead Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the development of compliant designs for subfunctions and their related components.
Key Responsibilities
You will serve as the primary contact for the competencies related to the risk areas (such as Mechanical, Lifting, Working at Height, Ergonomics, etc.) for which you are accountable. It is essential to maintain adequate knowledge to support assessments and discussions concerning these risk areas, ensuring continuous competence development regarding compliance. You will collaborate with function architects across various projects to assess product-level risks and assist in addressing compliance issues with the regulatory board.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the main point of contact for the competencies of your assigned risk areas.
- Understanding and critically evaluating the guidelines.
- Assisting teams in adhering to the guidelines.
- Supporting teams in assessments and discussions related to risk areas.
- Collaborating with function architects to evaluate product-level risks concerning compliance standards.
- Aiding function architects in presenting compliance issues to the regulatory board.
- Managing the compliance SharePoint site.
- Analyzing team inputs on compliance and generating reports on compliance status for each product and sub-function.
- Reporting progress to project managers.
Qualifications and Experience
A Technical University Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required.
Experience:
A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience in mechanical engineering, or a Master's degree with at least 2 to 4 years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with standards compliance is essential, along with a foundational understanding of flow and thermal domains.
Skills

The ideal candidate should be capable of thriving in a dynamic environment, effectively organizing work, and employing a systematic approach to problem-solving.
