Geotechnical Engineering Software Developer

We are looking for an Application Developer in Geotechnical Engineering to join our team at Royal HaskoningDHV Zwolle.

As a Geotechnical Engineering Software Developer, you will be part of our geo-tooling team and responsible for the development of tools to be used in geotechnical engineering practice.

You will work on projects ranging from high-profile multidisciplinary projects to smaller projects for municipalities, and implement geotechnical tools and applications.

Our team is passionate about engineering and has a passion for innovation and new ways of working. You will have the opportunity to develop yourself as a Product Owner and work with impact, as our projects are relevant for society and offer solutions to complex problems.

What you will do

  • You will become part of the RHDHV geotechnical community and geo-tooling team;
  • You will join a Young professional program in which you develop your soft skills;
  • You will contribute to complex and diverse engineering projects, cooperating with colleagues from all over the world;

What you bring

  • You have a MSc or PhD in geo-engineering or civil engineering;
  • You are fluent in Python, including knowledge about object-oriented programming, knowledge of other programming languages or about web based and/or database architecture is a plus;
  • You have knowledge of digital development processes, basic knowledge of DevOps Azure and Git, dealing with test plans and release cycles or willing to learn the before mentioned skills;
  • You like solving complex problems and can translate user stories to feasible technical solutions;
  • You have strong analytical ability, proactive and committed to technical excellence;
  • You are fluent in English communication (Dutch is desirable, living in The Netherlands a must);
  • You have 3-12 years of experience;
  • You are a team player, cooperative, and flexible.
