As an Electrical Transmission Systems Engineer with Arcadis, you will play a crucial role in helping Transmission & Distribution (T&D) companies expand and reinforce their networks. You will work closely with various disciplines to drive project success, leveraging your technical experience and collaboration skills to connect with clients and stakeholders.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Technical liaison with clients from initial contact through project delivery
  • Defining, contributing, and delivering T&D projects throughout the project lifecycle
  • Designing and producing electrical engineering deliverables as required
  • Liaising with CAD engineers and technical third parties to determine safe, cost-effective T&D design solutions

This role is part of our Energy Transition Business Unit, which focuses on accelerating clients' projects to achieve a sustainable future. We take a bold, creative, and integrated approach to bring about energy transitions, simplifying complex problems and actively involving the environment in the process.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree or relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering (BSc, MSc, or PhD) or equivalent T&D expertise gained during your career
  • Experience working as a substation and/or plant engineer to international and industry standards
  • Preparation of HV substation primary, control, and protection equipment design deliverables, feasibility studies, reports, programs, and cost estimates
  • Broad knowledge of T&D work field and technologies, with a good understanding of how technology influences the operation and performance of the Power Grid
  • Familiarity with international T&D standards, working methods, and software tooling (e.g., Revitt, Elcad, Primtech, AutoCAD, PS CAD)
  • Demonstrated success in designing and/or engineering and/or delivering projects safely to budget, time, and quality that meets customer expectations
  • Ability to work with internal and external parties and within a strong, international/diverse team-working culture
  • Experience in writing clear and concise documentation and reports

While Dutch language proficiency is an advantage, candidates with limited HV transmission expertise but a strong MV distribution background are also encouraged to apply. Proven mentoring skills are beneficial for Lead Engineers.
