Financial Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Anthony Veder. As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for consolidating and preparing financial reports, including weekly PI reports, monthly performance reports, and covenant reports to financiers. You will also be responsible for reviewing the profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flows, and discussing monthly results with operational departments. Additionally, you will coordinate the alignment between operational and financial systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Responsibilities- Consolidate and prepare financial reports, including weekly PI reports, monthly performance reports, and covenant reports to financiers;
- Review the profit and loss statement, balance sheet, and cash flows;
- Discuss monthly results with operational departments;
- Coordinate the alignment between operational and financial systems;
- Organize preparations for external audits;
- Initiate and participate in optimizations of systems, processes, and reports;
- Act as a sparring partner for the Assistant Finance Manager and provide support for various financial issues.
- A completed (business) economics degree;
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in finance;
- Experience in preparing financial reports, including graphical and textual explanations of developments;
- Excellent knowledge of Excel;
- Familiarity with Dutch GAAP and IFRS;
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and ability to work well in a team;
- Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
Anthony Veder is specialized in the transportation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), and petrochemical gases, such as Ethylene and Propylene. With a fleet of 30 tankers, they integrate in all aspects of shipping, including technical management, crewing, operations, and chartering.
