Concept Art Specialist

At Vertigo Games, we're looking for a skilled Concept Art Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our art department, you'll play a crucial role in bringing our VR projects to life through high-quality concept art.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop concept art that supports the direction of our VR projects and aids 3D artists, VFX artists, and designers in their work.
- Collaborate with the art team to create production-ready designs for environments, utilizing both 3D sketch models and 2D paint overs.
- Proactively seek feedback from the Art Director and Art Leads and keep them informed on the status of assigned tasks.
- Engage in ongoing learning within the medium, identifying effective techniques, potential challenges, and innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
- Validate your own designs in the VR headset.
About You
- Good understanding of essential art principles, including lighting, perspective, composition, architecture, and design, enabling the creation of compelling and immersive worlds.
- Experience in cross-team collaboration and good communication skills, comfortable with asking questions and explaining your decisions effectively.
- Understanding of the game development pipeline and how concept art can effectively support it.
- Ability to provide numerous solutions that consider the technological limitations of VR.
- Capability to create well-thought-out designs that emphasize functionality and effectively convey the narrative of the world.
