Job Title: Tool Design Engineer

Job Summary:

Cyient is seeking a skilled Tool Design Engineer to join our team. As a Tool Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing fixtures, jigs, and specialized tools for aerospace landing gear applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop tooling solutions that meet the needs of our aerospace clients.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure efficient and precise tooling solutions.
  • Develop shop aid tools that support both production and maintenance activities.
  • Validate tool designs for fit, function, and manufacturability.
  • Optimize tool geometry for ease of use and precision.
  • Choose appropriate materials for tool components based on factors such as strength, durability, and weight.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and comprehensive documentation for manufacturing and assembly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on machine and tool design experience using CATIA or similar software.
  • Excellent reporting and writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Access & Excel.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T symbols and manufacturing processes.
