Service Coordinator Role Overview

The Service Coordinator at Plug Power is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the successful execution of commissioning projects. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Main Responsibilities

  • Allocate resources, people, parts, tools, and materials to commissioning projects in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Drive a culture of safety within the team, model safe work habits, and ensure training on relevant safety protocols.
  • Support the recruiting process for new commissioning specialists and leads.
  • Develop and implement a training program for new employees, focusing on onboarding and cross-training existing commissioning team members on a broad range of products.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, supporting the commissioning team and performing commissioning and maintenance activities on H2 Systems, enhancing procedures, and documentation for new H2 Systems.
  • Adapt best practices for System Services to various geographic regions, including regulatory and code requirements, and local practices in diverse EU countries as necessary.
  • Deliver on business KPIs related to System Commissioning Services execution, including establishing and maintaining HSE requirements and reliability goals for customers.
  • Provide guidance and support for local Service Specialists and Field Service Technicians in the EU region, focusing on establishing a culture of technical excellence and outstanding customer service skills.

QHSE Responsibilities

  • Taking training courses.
  • Using appropriate personal HSE measures (e.g. Personal Protective Equipment's).
  • Cooperating on quality, health, safety, environment, and security improvements.
  • Reporting incidents, potential danger, accidents, near misses, damage, fire, spills.
  • Acting according to the Company Policy and Code of Conduct.
  • Following Project and Company Q and HSE procedures/work instructions and Policies.
  • Reporting and preventing deviations, Non-Conformance, and complaints.

Authority with regards to HSE

  • In case of an acute safety threat, you are required to cease work activities, notify your manager directly, and follow up on necessary actions.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering and Technology, or relevant work experience.
  • VCA/VOL certificate or willingness to obtain it.
  • Professional-level English language skills.
  • Excellent communication and social skills.
