Your ResponsibilitiesThe M365 DevOps platform team is dedicated to end-to-end support of the M365 platform. As a Platform Engineer, you will be a specialist responsible for configuring the platform, implementing new functionalities aligned with our strategic roadmap, and addressing business requirements. A solid understanding of Microsoft Entra and M365 is essential for all Platform Engineers. Collaboration with level 1 and 2 support teams is crucial; should they encounter unresolved incidents or problems, you will engage with level 3 teams to find solutions. Additionally, you will share responsibility for the architecture, roadmap, and implementation of new functionalities, as well as governance tools and measures that will be transitioned to the level 2 team managing governance and support.
The M365 Development & Operations team comprises approximately 15 professionals and is expanding. Team members collaborate closely in an Agile DevOps framework, each bringing unique expertise across the diverse functionalities and applications offered by M365. This environment provides opportunities for personal growth and exploration beyond your primary area of expertise.
Opportunities and RequirementsAs ABN AMRO expands its Microsoft 365 platform to better serve business users, we are focused on clear architecture, well-defined solutions, and robust operational governance. The M365 platform team is responsible for the development and growth of the platform, as well as its governance.
In the M365 DevOps team, you will function as a generalist with knowledge of the M365 platform, PowerShell, and automation. You will also liaise with other teams managing Microsoft Defender, Purview, Power Platform, and more. Your expertise may lead to collaborative projects across the organization, leveraging your skills as a technical expert and trusted advisor. You should be comfortable articulating rational decisions and presenting them to management.
We seek candidates with proven technical expertise in the M365 product suite who have facilitated the success of other organizations on their M365 journeys.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience with a comprehensive understanding of M365
• Advanced knowledge of several core M365 products, including Teams, Outlook, Exchange, and SharePoint Online
• Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and Azure pipelines
• Familiarity with Entra ID and Identity and Access Management concepts
• Experience in large or complex organizational environments
• Strong communication skills with solution architects, IT specialists, and business users
• Proficiency in English and Dutch, both written and spoken
• A competitive gross monthly salary based on a 36-hour work week, inclusive of vacation pay and a benefits budget.
• A benefits budget equivalent to 11% of your salary, allowing for additional employment benefits. If unused in a month, you will receive one twelfth of this budget.
• Five weeks of vacation annually, with the option to purchase an additional four weeks.
• A personal development budget of €1,000 per year, which can accumulate up to €3,000.
• Flexibility to work from home, subject to team consultation and position requirements.
