Acteon Group Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to join our team as the Head of Legal and Marine Operations. This is a full-time and permanent position based at our Rotterdam office.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Expert Legal Advice: Offer accurate, relevant, and timely legal advice on a wide range of legal topics in support of our Marine Foundations Business Line.
- Contract Management: Advise on contracts, agreements, and transactions to mitigate legal risks, and draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial tenders, contracts, and agreements.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, identify and assess legal risks associated with projects and operations, and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Team Leadership: Manage and lead a team of legal professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they are equipped to meet the needs of the business.
- Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with external counsel, contract lawyers, experts, and auditors, and communicate effectively with business leaders and support functions to ensure seamless collaboration and effective risk management.
- Minimum 5 Years PQE: A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience as an in-house lawyer or private practice.
- Strong Contract Law Knowledge: Strong knowledge of contract law, commercial law, and regulatory compliance.
- Dispute Resolution Experience: Experience in managing disputes and working with external legal counsel.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
