Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Specification Engineer to join our team at Nouvall Engineering Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Perform technical evaluations of quotations from suppliers in collaboration with the purchasing department.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and statutory requirements.
  • Engage in technical discussions to achieve comparable levels of compliancy for competing suppliers.
  • Acquire and review supplier engineering information and documentation.
  • Integrate delivered components and systems into ship design.
  • Provide input and updates for the engineering database.
  • Perform required technical calculations to validate the design.
  • Compose technical and functional specification documents.
  • Verify technical performance of products and systems.
  • Offer technical support for commissioning activities.
  • Maintain good working relationships with technical representatives of suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Participate in design checks and reviews to guarantee the required quality.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years of experience in mechanical or marine engineering and with statutory bodies.
  • Experience with and knowledge of mechanical systems, preferably in ships, offshore, or industrial installations.
  • Able to work with and manage third-party vendors and subcontractors.
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent references and antecedents, with a pre-employment security screening as standard.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport.
