Role Overview

The R&D Analyst role at ShanX Medtech BV is pivotal in driving research efforts, generating scientific insights, and advancing the diversification of KAIROS. This full-time contract for 40 hours per week extends over three years, with possibilities of extension and potential for an increased work week.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting R&D: testing various assays with a variety of samples
  • Experimental Design: designing, planning experiments, and developing experimental protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable data collection
  • Data Collection: collecting data according to established protocols, recording experimental observations, measurements, and results in a systematic and organized manner
  • Data Analysis: analyzing experimental data using statistical methods and software tools to extract meaningful insights and draw conclusions
  • Troubleshooting: troubleshooting experimental issues and technical challenges as they arise
  • Documentation: documenting experimental procedures, results, and findings in laboratory notebooks, reports, and technical documents
Requirements

We're looking for a highly motivated individual with:

  • Bachelor's or HBO degree in Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
  • Familiarity with working in a BSL2 environment with bacteria (experience is not required but desired)
  • Fluency in English
  • A well-organized analytical mindset
  • A passion for innovation and a creative, out-of-the-box mindset
