Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Helin. As a key member of our offshore installation team, you will be responsible for setting up and fine-tuning hardware and software in oil and gas drilling platforms and vessels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and deploy applications, including IP networks and CCTV systems, to ensure seamless connectivity.
  • Support the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) process and create detailed technical documentation for complex technical processes and setups.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to troubleshoot and ensure a smooth deployment process, with a focus on on-site visits to suppliers in The Netherlands.
  • Develop and maintain technical expertise in Linux configurations, troubleshooting methodologies, and technical documentation.
  • Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, demonstrating exceptional English communication and people skills.
Requirements
  • A technical degree in a relevant field, such as control systems engineering, electrical engineering, or instrumentation engineering.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience as an implementation engineer or equivalent role.
  • Proven knowledge of Linux configurations, troubleshooting methodologies, and technical documentation.
  • Exceptional English communication and people skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel abroad and visit offshore locations.
