We are a diverse community of around 1100 students and 185 staff members from all over the world. As a member of the Dutch International Schools (DIS), we collaborate with other schools to provide internationally oriented education.

Job Description

The Inclusion Specialist will work closely with teachers and parents to support students with diverse needs. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of evidence-based interventions and a proven track record of working in a school setting.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual or small group intervention when required
  • Plan and deliver evidence-based interventions and monitor progress
  • Regularly, monitor and evaluate the progress toward meeting goals of individual or groups of students and adjust supports as needed
  • Support teacher(s) through sharing expertise; particularly with accommodating diversity and differentiation
  • Participate in meetings with parents/guardians as needed
  • Establish and develop an effective working relationship with team members

The Inclusion Specialist will be responsible for maintaining professional competency through ongoing professional development, acquiring information and research on current intervention strategies, and establishing an effective system of files, records, and documentation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A relevant learning support qualification or equivalent in the field of education or psychology
  • A solid understanding of a wide range of evidence-based learning support and social-emotional interventions used in a school setting
  • Proven experience working in a school setting, preferably in a support role
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English
  • Willingness to work closely and collaboratively in a strong team and able to work independently
