We are seeking a highly skilled IT Operations Specialist to join our team at Damen Naval. This role involves managing IT operations, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with solution providers for enhancements.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Supporting IT operations: Enhancing (engineering) IT systems for the business.
  • Developing IT specifications: Improving existing and new IT systems.
  • Driving IT performance: Ensuring smooth IT system execution.
  • Analyzing IT issues: Collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Reporting IT bugs: Communicating with external suppliers.
  • Advising stakeholders: Aligning on IT issue impact.
  • Verifying IT solutions: Enhancing IT system functionality.
  • Providing IT support: Assisting users.
  • Testing IT enhancements: Before deployment.
  • Contributing to IT documentation: Training materials and guides.
  • Bridging the gap between IT and business with knowledge of business processes and IT capabilities.

We offer a competitive salary of €62,000 - €82,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits such as 8% holiday pay, 27 holidays, and a travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometre.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • 3+ years of experience working in a similar position, preferably in a corporate environment as part of a staff department.
  • Experience in IT maintenance, preferably within a technical, complex engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Product Lifecycle Management.
  • Bachelor's or Master's level in IT or other relevant discipline.
  • Experience with 3DX Dassault Systems or SAP is a plus.
  • Good command of the Dutch & English language (written & verbal).
  • Excellent references, as a pre-employment security screening is standard part of the recruitment procedure.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required, as candidates with NL/EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
