Bolton Group, a multinational organization with over 800 employees, is seeking an experienced Purchase Manager to strengthen its Procurement team in Goes.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management and 1-3 years of experience as a buyer. They should possess excellent negotiation skills, the ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships, and proficiency in using ERP software (preferably SAP), Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

About the Role
As a Purchase Manager, you will be pivotal in managing procurement activities for one of our key categories, overseeing the end-to-end procurement process, and ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials.
Main Responsibilities and Tasks
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for the product category in your portfolio.
- Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate commercial agreements, and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control procurement costs, seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or on-time delivery performance of the suppliers.
- Tendering Process: Lead and coordinate the tendering process for goods, evaluate proposals, and select suppliers, taking into account total cost of ownership.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with QA and SHE teams to ensure that procured materials meet quality standards and agreed-upon specifications.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the procurement process, including single-sourced products, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Contract Administration: Draft and review contracts, ensuring clarity of terms and conditions; coordinate with the legal department to ensure adherence to legal requirements.
- Communication: Maintain open communication channels with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors to ensure smooth procurement processes.
- Compliance: Work with suppliers and internal teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience as a buyer.
- Good negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Experience using ERP software (preferably SAP), Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
