Salary

The salary for this role is around €5,000-€6,000 per month, depending on experience.

Job Description

As Operations Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient hotel operation. You'll oversee all aspects of daily operations, including staff management, guest satisfaction, and facility management. With close to a 1000 beds in various room categories, a restaurant & bar, game area, cinema room, and more, we operate in the larger segment of youth hotels.

You'll lead a team of dedicated staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional guest experiences - the Via way. You're the main point of contact for the Head of Departments of Housekeeping, Front Office (incl. Duty Managers), Bar & Restaurant, Kitchen, and Maintenance.

You'll be responsible for hiring, training, and scheduling staff, as well as conducting performance evaluations and addressing any performance issues that may arise. Additionally, you'll maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety throughout the hotel.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You possess great people skills, understanding that our team members are our biggest assets. You know how to motivate people and enjoy sharing knowledge & growing people.
  • Ability to effectively manage a large team (80+ staff members) and prioritize tasks to meet operational goals.
  • A flexible attitude, with a hands-on approach. It's in our Via DNA to provide supportive leadership and to be present.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Around 1-2 years working experience in a similar role in a smaller hotel operation or experience as an Assistant Operations Manager in a larger hotel operation.
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and in writing. Dutch is a strong plus.
