For our Purchasing division, we are in search of a

Purchasing Agent

As a Purchasing Agent at Teijin Aramid, you will experience:

  • A competitive salary ranging from € 4800 to € 7500 gross monthly (excluding holiday allowance of 8.33%);
  • A green and development budget of € 1500 gross per individual;
  • A total of 46 vacation days;
  • The option for hybrid working, including a home working allowance.

About Our Team
As a (Senior) Purchasing Agent, you will collaborate with 25 motivated procurement professionals. The purchasing department manages a diverse array of portfolios, including HR services, raw materials, utilities, technical supplies, and converters. You will report to the Spend Manager of Purchasing.

Your Responsibilities
In collaboration with your colleagues, you will contribute to the further professionalization of the global purchasing function and the department. You will be tasked with developing and executing purchasing strategies and achieving results for our purchasing categories in a complex environment. You will thrive on conducting market and product analyses and preparing reports. You will enhance processes and provide support and advice to colleagues.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting market and product analyses;
  • Formulating purchasing plans and objectives for your designated categories;
  • Leading and/or managing multidisciplinary projects;
  • Establishing direction for your categories regarding sourcing strategy, savings objectives, and optimizing product, quality, and service levels;
  • Performing risk assessments in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Your Profile

Ideally, our ideal candidate possesses a completed technical or commercial bachelor’s or university degree, along with the following attributes:
Driven, analytically adept, and proactive:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a buyer;
  • A critical thinker who is not afraid to challenge the status quo;
  • Proficient in stakeholder and strategic supplier management;
  • A collaborative team player;
  • Ambitious, demonstrating proactive behavior and a results-oriented mindset;
  • Flexible and customer-focused;
  • Able to grasp the bigger picture while maintaining attention to relevant details;
  • Possessing strong analytical and planning & organizational skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (knowledge of Dutch and German is a plus).

  • A salary between € 4800 and € 7500 gross per month (excluding holiday allowance of 8.33%), based on your experience and education;
  • 20 days of vacation per year plus an additional 26 days as a Personal Budget, which can be used for time off or paid out; a total of 46 days off for full-time employees;
