International Commissioning Engineer for Data Center Electrical Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled International Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Yacht. As an International Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful commissioning of electrical systems in our data centers.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in commissioning field. You should have expertise in energy or utility industry and a solid understanding of testing and commissioning methods, equipment, and reporting.

A key aspect of this role is working on projects abroad for extended periods in a dynamic environment. Therefore, it is essential that you are willing to work independently and as part of a team.

As a Commissioning Engineer at Yacht, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the safe and timely completion of commissioning process according to agreed performance indicators;
  • Monitoring commissioning results against technical requirements;
  • Ensuring the commissioning team works according defined guidelines, processes, and procedures;
  • Acting as Siemens' onsite technical representative and attending various commissioning meetings and other decision-making milestones;
  • Taking care of commissioning-related site administrative tasks (e.g., scheduling works, updating drawings in line with onsite modifications, closure of open items in commissioning systems);
  • Monitoring compliance to standards, regulations, laws, quality, and EHS guidelines.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Qualification in electrical engineering (MBO or HBO level);
  • At least 4 years' experience in the commissioning field;
  • Expertise in energy or utility industry;
  • Safety is in your DNA;
  • Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and a 'can-do' mentality;
  • Knowledge in testing and commissioning of power distribution systems (switchgear and transformers);
  • Hand-on experience with relevant testing and commissioning methods, equipment, and reporting (e.g., primary- and secondary current injection, insulation resistance, fault finding, and functional testing);
  • Willingness to work on projects abroad for a longer period in a dynamic environment;
  • Fluent in English (Dutch language would be great);
  • Driver's license;
  • EU Passport.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of €80,000 per year, based on your qualifications and experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of benefits, including:
