Senior DLT Developer for EVM-based Systems

The Deutsche Bundesbank is a leading financial institution in the European System of Central Banks, playing a crucial role in financial stability, banking supervision, monetary policy, and payment transactions in Germany. As a strong team of reliable and responsible individuals, our daily work creates the technical IT conditions for a stable euro and other central bank tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and operate full-stack DLT applications, focusing on EVM-based smart contracts.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop interdisciplinary smart contract solutions.
  • Apply proven security methods to identify and model critical security risks and attack vectors in test environments.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest DLT industry developments and initiate further training measures for yourself and your colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, software engineering).
  • Several years of experience in software development with a strong focus on customer-oriented functional requirements.
  • Experience in developing and deploying EVM-based smart contracts.
  • Very good knowledge of Solidity or other EVM-related programming languages.
  • Experience in web application development, web services, and backend APIs.
  • Basic experience in DevOps, DevSecOps would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Web3 technologies such as tokenization, custody, data indexers, dApps, cross-chain bridging, oracles, rollups with ZKP cryptography or confidential computing.
  • Experience in working on open-source projects would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of LLVM compilers is desirable.
  • Ability to work in a team in an agile environment, ability to prepare information for stakeholders from different areas and levels of expertise in a manner appropriate to the target group.
  • Good written and spoken German and very good English skills, at least basic knowledge of German and willingness to expand this knowledge.

  • Remuneration based on the TVöD (depending on your experience, approx. €66,500 to €89,000), bonuses for special achievements.
