Job Title: Technical Writer F/M/X

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our team at Amaris Consulting. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating high-quality technical documentation for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and gather information about new system releases or changes to existing systems.
  • Discuss and align documentation requests and requirements with the information provider and fellow writers.
  • Monitor progress, ensure timely communication, and meet deadlines.
  • Create, develop, plan, write, design, and edit service information.
  • Design, write, and maintain system-specific installation documents.
  • Use various text editors and Content Management Systems.
  • Write for reuse and use controlled language.
  • Collaborate with illustrators and process the created technical illustrations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a technical writer.
  • Preferably experience with ST4.
  • Background in linguistics/communication is a plus.
  • Project management skills.
  • Experience with medical or high-tech equipment.
  • Thorough experience with structured authoring tools, topic-based writing, single-source publishing, and Content Management Systems.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Knowledge of controlled language or documentation standards is a plus.
  • Open-minded to new tools, techniques, and processes.
  • Customer-oriented, a team player who can work independently.
  • Able to take ownership and responsibility.
  • Familiar with Lean methodology.
