EHS Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking an EHS Coordinator to join our team at International Flavors & Fragrances. As a global leader in Taste & Scent, we are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

The EHS Coordinator will be responsible for all EHS matters relating to our Hilversum Creative Center, reporting to the Site Facility Manager. This role will work closely with the Safety coordinators of the Nourish and Scent BU's, and hold functional reporting lines with the Regional EHS manager and Corporate EHS.

The position requires contacts with external authorities, the fire department, and environmental agencies, as well as internal communication with all IFF departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement EHS programs, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies and regulations.
• Acquire and maintain all necessary permits, ensuring ongoing operation and reducing risks for the organization.
• Ensure all operational, environmental, and safety systems and installations meet governmental, IFF, and insurance requirements.
• Responsible for the ER organization and ER trainings.
• Provide training and support to all departments based on the annual EHS training program.
• Perform risk assessments and investigate incidents, advising relevant parties on potential improvements.
• Act as a center of expertise in EHS, advising parties on all matters relating to EHS and their consequences for the organization.
• Provide support and expertise on Capex projects and EHS affairs, including the role of Sustainability champion.
• Develop and maintain auditing and reporting programs for adherence to IFF EHS standards and requirements.

Requirements

• Work experience of at least 1-2 years in a similar function.
• Experience in safety, health, and environmental issues and regulations on a mid to bachelor level.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational, human relations, and communications skills.
• Dutch Language proficiency is a must.
