About the Role

Aegon Asset Management is seeking a highly skilled Lead Developer to join our team. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for leading the development of our software applications and ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of software applications, ensuring they meet the business requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, architects, and developers, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, helping them to grow and develop their skills.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, ensuring the team is working efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on leadership and technical expertise.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong technical skills, with experience in programming languages such as Java, Python, and SQL.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
