Job Overview

Carnival Corporation and plc is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Instructor to join our team at CSMART. As an Electrical Instructor, you will play a critical role in delivering training to ship-board technical staff and ensuring they have the necessary skills to operate and maintain our vessels.


Key Responsibilities
  • Training Delivery: Develop and deliver training programs to ship-board technical staff, focusing on Crew Resource Management, current and emerging technologies, and procedures.
  • Course Development: Create new courses and procedures to be implemented onboard ships, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with current practices and technology, applying your knowledge to improve training programs and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Liaise with Operations Support and other instructors to ensure seamless delivery of training programs.
  • Performance Monitoring: Follow up with participants to ensure they are meeting performance expectations and identify areas for improvement.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Restore equipment and address deficiencies to ensure training programs run smoothly.

Requirements and Experience
  • Experience: Typically, 1st Engineer or higher, with experience as a Senior Engineer/Superintendent and Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Marine Engineering.
  • Cruise Ship Experience: Preferred, but not required.
  • Teaching Experience: An asset, but not essential.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in computer, networks, and MS Office365.
  • Language Skills: Fluent written and verbal in English language.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural team.
  • Independence: Ability to work unassisted and make decisions with minimal supervision.
