Job Title: Senior Counter Terrorism Expert

Job Summary:

The Senior Counter Terrorism Expert will lead the Terrorism Monitoring & Expertise Team at Europol, coordinating staff to contribute to the organization's activities in counter terrorism. The job holder will be responsible for coordinating the team's work, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and providing strategic information and support in the context of terrorism and counter terrorism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the work of the team, ensuring effective planning, prioritization, and scheduling of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Monitor progress of work in line with key performance indicators, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Provide strategic information and support in the context of terrorism and counter terrorism.
  • Liaise and cooperate with relevant stakeholders to strengthen the nexus between internal and external aspects of counter terrorism.
  • Represent Europol at meetings, trainings, and other events, delivering presentations and providing expert knowledge and advice.

Requirements:

  • Professional experience in the field of counter terrorism, with an international dimension.
  • Experience in handling operational and strategic sensitive and classified information and intelligence.
  • Experience in providing operational and policy advice on CT issues.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to draft clear and concise documents on complex matters.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team, with strong interpersonal skills.

Working Environment:

The job holder will work in a dynamic and international environment, with a focus on counter terrorism and security. The successful candidate will be required to participate in a shift system, including weekends and nights, as well as on-call duty.
