We are seeking an experienced Senior Electronic Systems Architect to join our team at VDL ETG Technology & Development.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading multidisciplinary project teams and developing architectural concepts in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders. This will involve working closely with architects from other disciplines, competence leaders, and external partners to define concept designs and make trade-offs.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing electronic design specifications and components, including sensors, amplifiers, PCBs, and control platforms.
  • Performing trade-offs for implementation alternatives of functions and managing outsourcing activities at electronics development partners.
  • Leading the electronics designers and engineers in the multidisciplinary project team and contributing specialist knowledge in one or more electronic engineering fields.
  • Servicing as a subject matter expert in signal processing, analog, digital, and power electronics, firmware, high voltage electronics, PCB lay-out, EMI, etc.

A strong background in electronics, mechatronics, software, and mechanical engineering is essential, along with excellent communication and leadership skills. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to the roadmap and strategy within the electronics department.
