Senior Breeder Hydro Lettuce Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Breeder Hydro Lettuce to join our team at Enza Zaden. As a Senior Breeder Hydro Lettuce, you will be responsible for the development of lettuce varieties for high-tech hydroponic growing systems.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a breeding program in several lettuce types, including the trio lettuce.
- Create a long-term vision based on the latest market developments.
- Prepare and execute breeding trials, and analyze the data from these trials.
- Work together in international and multidisciplinary teams with sales representatives, production specialists, biotech breeders, researchers, and external companies.
- Collaborate with other breeders in the team and report to the Crop Breeding Manager Leafy Vegetables.
- MSc degree in Plant Breeding.
- Minimum of five years of working experience as a Plant Breeder.
- Strong communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and flexible mindset.
- Creative, systematic, and persevering approach.
