Job Summary

The Warehouse Transition Engineer position is a critical role that requires the implementation of warehouse systems, evaluating design and layout for optimal functionality, and ensuring smooth operations. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday work week, and the Engineer will be considered a technology leader.

Responsibilities
  • Create a comprehensive integration plan and implementation strategy for moving hardware into the new distribution center.
  • Develop a thorough testing plan and documentation to ensure system functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software vendors to establish a cohesive plan for their involvement in the project.
  • Work closely with operations staff to test equipment and verify the functionality of new hardware.
  • Determine if additional hardware and software are required for a successful outcome.
  • Coordinate with other teams and locations to resolve problems, provide support, and implement new systems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal end-users via various communication channels.
  • Prioritize and distribute trouble tickets and support calls based on business impact.
  • Offer advanced support for end-user devices, software, and applications.
  • Assist in the training of other support staff on complex issues.
  • Implement and support major warehouse systems and software.
  • Evaluate new technologies and software to assess their potential for use in production.
  • Lead and support projects and upgrades to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain current knowledge in the technical field through ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Adhere to corporate security policies and standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.
Qualifications
  • Experience with Zebra equipment and label printer integration with Manhattan Active.
  • CubiScan integration with laptops and Manhattan Active.
  • Windows 11 installation and distribution.
  • Working knowledge of digital signage.
  • Understanding of logistics and work flows.
  • Team-oriented with excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (O365) Suite.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows Operating systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Server environment and maintenance.
  • Fundamental knowledge of networking to aid in support and setup of a Cisco network environment.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure and time-sensitive environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • An associate's or bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in warehouse technology.
  • Ability to learn new tools and processes.
  • Willingness to train others.
  • Above-average reading and writing skills, including technical information.
  • Ability to accept and provide guidance.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
