Job Description

About the Role

As a Security Evaluator at SGS, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security of various IT products, including financial, automotive, medical, and ID products. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough source code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and develop sophisticated attack scenarios to exploit them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct source code reviews to identify security vulnerabilities and develop attack scenarios to exploit them
  • Collaborate with product developers to improve product security and provide convincing argumentation to certification schemes
  • Participate in project teams performing product security evaluations and interact with customers to assess product security
  • Document findings and argumentation for product developers and approval bodies
  • Support colleagues in executing attack scenarios and provide feedback to product developers

Requirements

  • BSc, MSc, or PhD degree in a technical field (Information Security, Computer Science, Electronics, Mathematics)
  • Experience with software development or testing for embedded systems
  • Ability to understand complex designs and apply conceptual thinking
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to convey complex security concepts
  • Knowledge of (EMV) payment products and experience with security evaluations, Java Cards, and attack techniques are advantages
