Customs Process Administrator

We're seeking a highly skilled Customs Process Administrator to join our team at Maersk. As a key member of our customs services team, you'll play a critical role in coordinating and organizing customs services, ensuring timely and accurate completion of import and export declarations, and maintaining a first-class business relationship with customers and internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform customs clearances, including certificate management and incident resolution.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of import and export declarations and transit movements.
  • Deliver financial activities related to customs house brokerage in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collate and present data reports to management, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Review and update operating manuals regularly to ensure compliance with standard procedures.
  • Ensure work carried out complies with standard procedures as defined in operating manuals.
  • Maintain quality assurance procedures up to date and clearly reflect current working practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local customs authorities' and statutory requirements.
  • Maintain a first-class business relationship with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in customs-related projects and training to ensure coverage of all accounts in the team.
  • Engender team spirit and staff engagement.
Required Skills:
  • Relevant customs experience and certification.
  • Local customs authorities' knowledge, including classification, reclaims, and websites.
  • Experience with one of the relevant customs and IFMS systems (LSP, Softpack, AGS, NCTS).
  • Outlook and user-level experience of Microsoft applications.
  • Strong customer-facing and interaction skills with a high level of customer orientation.
  • Team engagement and support.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Dutch and English language proficiency.
