Configuration Management Specialist

Serco is a leading provider of space services, with a global presence and a reputation for excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Officer to join our team at ESA-ESTEC in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities:- Configuration Management Planning: Establish and maintain effective configuration management processes to ensure the integrity of our products and systems.
- Configuration Item Identification and Control: Identify, document, and control configuration items, including technical requirements, production, and maintenance of configuration item data lists.
- Configuration Evolution and Control: Manage configuration evolution, baselines verification, as-built control, and inspections to ensure compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
- Configuration Control Methods and Procedures: Establish and maintain configuration control methods, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Change Management: Prepare formal requirements for inclusion in industrial contracts, participate in project reviews, conduct configuration audits and inspections, and supervise the processing and disposition of change requests and proposals.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain a well-structured record system, act as secretary to appropriate boards, and establish and maintain the approval system for all documents under formal ESA control.
- Support and Collaboration: Support the supervision and maintenance of the documentation library and archives, and propose automated methods and tools to increase performance of configuration and documentation control tasks.
- Education: Master's degree in engineering or equivalent, or MBA or equivalent university degree from a recognized institution.
- Experience: At least 4 years of relevant working experience in the aerospace industry, with experience in controlling and/or management of activities and resources.
- Skills: Highly proficient in the use of modern activities and resource management support tools, databases, and standard office automation support software packages, including advanced usage of Excel.
- Language: Proficient in English, both written and spoken, and knowledge of another EU member state language is an asset.
