Job Title: Financial Controller

The Financial Controller plays a crucial role in the company's financial management, working closely with the Finance Director to prepare financial statements and management information. To succeed in this position, you will possess strong accounting and analytical skills, be able to develop a network, and position yourself within the business to provide guidance on financial and operational topics.

Main Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end closing process, including accruals and provisions, review of P&L and Balance Sheet, and analysis of fluctuations compared to forecast and prior periods.
• Prepare and assist with audits, ensuring compliance with government regulations and preparing reports accordingly.
• Monitor changes in regulations and compile reports on compliance issues, standards, and accounting practices.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Assist in developing and evaluating forecasts and business cases.
• Act as a finance business partner, proactively advising management on finance and business topics.
• Focus on monitoring financial processes, cost control, margin development, and maintaining internal control of business finance perspective.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Has a strong work and thinking level, with a Bachelor- or Master-level degree in accounting/finance.
• Is proficient in Dutch and English, with excellent communication skills.
• Has a good understanding of reporting and accounting regulations, including IFRS and Dutch GAAP.
• Is proficient in desktop computer skills and ERP systems.
• Has a minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar position, preferably in an international service industry.
