EH&S Specialist

We are searching for a professional to support the safe execution of work coordinated by the TES maintenance department.
We are looking for a skilled EH&S technician who is used to show initiative and ownership, is capable of dealing with a dynamic environment and has experience in the chemical industry.
Responsibilities
• Provides hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene (IH), and health and safety (H&S) activities for a specific maintenance group in preparation and execution of work.
• Shares responsibility for the implementation of the EH&S management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate.
• Implements detailed, task level, day to day EH&S programs, utilizing the EH&S work process, standards and procedures.
• Ensures that the Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EH&S performance goals.
• Acts as resource for related EH&S information on procedures, guidelines and standards.
• Serves as contact for Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety issues.
• Coaches and trains teams and individuals within maintenance on EH&S related tasks and activities.
• Assists in developing and achieving area or departmental EH&S goals.
• Ensures EH&S compliance tasks are completed.
Relevant Profiel
We are looking for someone with a MBO4+ or Bsc IVK EH&S degree like MVK or equivalent.
Experience in similar roles within the chemical industry is required.
Fluent in English and Dutch is a must.
Personal characteristics: shows initiative, ownership and is a team player.
