Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead our Engineering team and drive the development of innovative solutions for the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a performance-driven Engineering Discipline with a strong safety culture and CSR ambition.
  • Support the business strategy of various Business Units and ensure sufficient capacity to serve the business.
  • Maintain and implement a 3-5 year strategic plan in collaboration with the Management Team, focusing on innovative engineering strategies and international markets.
  • Ensure continuous improvement from recent and past engineering projects to create value and promote learning while striving for a competitive advantage.
  • Develop engineering competence within Royal IHC and ensure internal mobility across the organization.
  • Demonstrate adaptive leadership style, leading the organization through market fluctuations.
  • Operationalize core values: commitment, partnership, and innovation.
Requirements
  • Over 15 years of management experience, preferably in the maritime industry or equivalent.
  • Leadership with a focus on safety and well-being, proven track record of growth mindset and steering teams to improve safety and quality standards.
  • A completed master's degree.
  • In-depth insights into customer needs, business needs, and functional capabilities.
  • Proven success in setting up an effective department with strong competence development and vibrant succession planning.
What We Offer
  • A gross yearly salary between €120,000 and €160,000 (including 8% holiday allowance).
