About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist - Product Insights to join our team. This role will involve working closely with our Product teams to leverage data and identify user journey opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for building dashboards, designing and analysing A/B tests, uncovering trends in user behavior, and collaborating with colleagues on discovery projects.
Key Responsibilities- Own analytics for a broad product area, taking full ownership of major parts of the platform and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Turn data into actionable insights and recommendations that inform business and product strategy.
- Leverage advanced analytics techniques, such as regression analysis, causal inference, and A/B testing, to analyse user behavior and evaluate the effectiveness of new features.
- Enable data-driven decision-making at scale by identifying and implementing self-service data solutions that empower Product teams.
- 6+ years of experience in data science or analytics, ideally in an online company.
- Advanced technical skills, including proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or another language, and experience with tools like Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, and data transformation tools like dbt or Dataform.
- Deep statistical expertise and ability to apply advanced techniques to extract meaningful insights.
- Experience with tracking tools like Google Analytics (GA) and Google Tag Manager (GTM), and ability to design, implement, and validate measurement strategies.
- Hands-on experience designing and evaluating A/B tests and other experiments, ensuring robust methodologies that lead to actionable insights.
- Strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence business and product strategy through data-driven recommendations.
- Strong communication and mentoring skills, with the ability to work effectively with leadership, engineers, and product teams.
- Proactive and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to take ownership, solve problems autonomously, and drive initiatives forward.
