Job Summary

The Assembly and Test Technician is responsible for preparing assembly work and documentation. This role involves assembling various equipment and tools, as well as performing test requirements. Additionally, this position requires disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, and reassembling during the repair process. The technician will have access to modern materials and tools to ensure high-quality products are delivered to customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete assemblies according to drawings, instructions, and work orders, performing testing when required.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of inspection equipment, their functions, and uses to ensure all parts and assemblies meet specifications.
  • Ensure all parts and components are clean prior to assembly and that assemblies are completed properly, following all assembly procedures.
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal safety equipment.
  • Operate various precision measuring tools, such as micrometers, vernier, and CMM, in a warehouse environment, as well as hand tools like hydraulic torque wrenches and fire torches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within assembly.

Requirements
  • Techncial degree on MBO-Level.
  • Ideally 2 years of experience in a similar role (mechanical engineering).
  • Native Dutch and conversational English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, such as blueprints and technical drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Basic computer aptitude to use/learn data entry systems and Microsoft Office Package.
  • Sharp eye for detail and results-oriented approach.
  • Capable of calculating basic mathematical functions, including computation of rate, ratio, and percent, and converting one type of measurement into another.
  • Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly to peers, supervisors, and customers.
  • Customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality workmanship.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and safely lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Experience/Skills
  • Experience with rotating equipment.
