Professor in Intercultural Communication

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Professor in Intercultural Communication & Business English at our Soest Campus.

• Teach Business English, Academic English, Intercultural Communication, Soft Skill Training, and related fields to international students from over 65 nations.
• Develop and coordinate English, Soft Skills, and Technical English modules, and establish a language center.
• Contribute to curriculum development and research in Business English communication and professional experience.
• Support students in preparing for studying abroad and international work experience.
• Establish and maintain international contacts, and acquire third-party funding for research activities.
• Participate in interdisciplinary research areas and academic self-administration.
• Teach on-campus and online courses, including Saturdays, with compensation for Saturday work.

• Above-average university degree in economics, international business, or comparable fields, combined with relevant practical experience.
• Outstanding doctoral degree in one of the above fields or a comparable scientific qualification.
• Relevant experience in teaching Business English in higher education, with experience in developing curricula and teaching materials.
• A minimum of 5 years of working experience, at least 3 outside academia.
• Excellent didactic skills, especially in eLearning and modern teaching concepts.
• Demonstrated English language proficiency at a native level, and German language skills at a native level.
• Teaching competence and pedagogical aptitude, with the ability to give a trial lecture.
