If you’re passionate about emissions compliance and want to be part of a dynamic team, we have the perfect opportunity for you The Certification Development team within our Global Engines department is on the lookout for a Certification Documentation Engineer to drive excellence in emissions and On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) certifications.
Documentation Creation and Management:
- Develop and maintain certification documentation for AECD, AES, and OBD, impacting our sustainable future.
- Collaborate with experts to draft clear, compelling emissions documentation.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance through review and tracking.
- Oversee the editing and approval process to deliver top-quality documentation.
Technical Review and Compliance:
- Analyze emission control systems to identify AECDs and ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance to the development team on legal AECD requirements.
Standards and Process Improvement:
- Create and maintain engine test standards for emissions testing.
- Implement innovative process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Functie-eisenJob profile
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Automotive or Mechanical Engineering
• Experience with (heavy duty diesel) engines and aftertreatment; calibration and/or On-Board Diagnostics background
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills are mandatory
• Advanced English skills are mandatory
• Knowledge in using DITA and associated documentation tools
• Structured working approach combined with pleasure to work in teams
• Challenged by securing technical knowledge into documentation
• Pro-active attitude and the ability to work with many different people and organizations
ArbeidsvoorwaardenDAF Trucks, established in 1928 and based in the Netherlands, is a leader in the truck industry, renowned for its high-quality and reliable vehicles. The company develops its own engines and continuously innovates with alternative powertrains such as hydrogen and EPower. DAF is committed to maximizing truck uptime at minimal costs through ongoing technological advancements and a focus on quality.
Primary employment conditions
- 12 times a monthly salary based on experience (Up to: €6200 gross per month)
- 8.33% holiday pay calculated over 12 monthly salaries
Contract form
- Minimum one-year contract, with the aim of transitioning to an indefinite contract
- You will always receive 100% of your salary during your employment contract
Secondary conditions
- Pension scheme (pension accrual from day 1)
- Annual net €3500 training budget
- Just €750 to set up your home workplace
- The possibility of a Yacht bonus or, if applicable to our client, a year-end bonus or 13th-month payment
- Opportunity for referral bonuses25 vacation days per year based on 40 hours
