Senior Piping Engineer
Location: Arnhem, NL.
Duration: 12-month contract, extended to a permanent contract.
We are seeking a Senior Piping Engineer for small to medium-scale projects in the downstream refinery and petrochemical sectors.
This role is integral to the successful delivery of projects, from initial design and FEED through to detailed engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the Piping Engineering and Design team on assigned projects. Coordinate global project delivery with international offices, ensuring adherence to technical standards and quality requirements. Oversee all stages of project engineering, including conceptual design, FEED, basic and detailed design. Ensure compliance with the project quality management system and contractual obligations. Develop, review, and approve piping layouts, designs, material specifications, and requisitions.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. Minimum of 15 years of experience in piping engineering, field engineering, or construction management, with substantial expertise in project leadership. Proven knowledge of piping layout, routing, support design, stress analysis, MTO control, and experience in 3D design model reviews. Proficient with Navisworks, MS Office, AutoCAD , and basic knowledge of E3D ; knowledge of other relevant systems is advantageous. Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and cost control. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with proficiency in Dutch preferred. Familiarity with national and international codes and standards, with a proactive approach to safety and health in project work. Ability to travel as needed and possession of a valid Dutch safety certificate (VCA-VOL) and a driver's license.Work Arrangement:
Minimum of two days per week at the Arnhem office, with flexible remote work options. Candidates must be based in the Netherlands, ideally near Arnhem, with local residency required.How to Apply:
