About the role

Working within the Van Hessen Business Unit, the successful candidate will be working closely with the Sustainability Manager based in our Netherlands Head Office. Within the sustainability team you will be contributing to the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives across Van Hessen's worldwide operations. In this role you will collaborate with various departments and local teams to help facilitate ESG reporting and drive progress towards the organization's sustainability objectives and goals.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key user, administrator, and resource within the organization's ESG data management system, helping to facilitate regular reporting and data consolidation Work across regions with local management and finance personnel to identify and address data gaps to enhance data scope & quality, and carbon accounting in-line with reporting requirements Take an active role in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating sustainability/decarbonization projects Generate performance and progress reports for environmental metrics Develop and disseminate communication materials to raise awareness of sustainability program objectives across the group Help monitor relevant regulations and help ensure compliance with ESG reporting requirements Assist in the coordination of stakeholder engagement to increase quality of indirect emission calculation and potential collaborations Collaborate across departments & regional management teams to help facilitate the development of sustainability/decarbonization action plans

About you

This opportunity would suit a recent university graduate or up to 1-2 years PQE with a bachelors or masters degree in finance, business administration, sustainable development, sustainable business or another related field. You will posses both Dutch and English language skills at a professional level.

Fluent in English and Dutch (essential) Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets. Desire to understand ESG frameworks, standards, and reporting requirements (e.g., GRI, ESRS, SBTi, CDP, TCFD). Familiarity with corporate sustainability, ESG reporting, or related field (advantageous) Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders Project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively Ability to work independently and within a team Driven, energetic and positive-minded, with a passion for continuous improvement Experience in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), and in PowerBi or other data visualization systems
