It is essential that ASML's property, plants and equipment, buildings, real estate and services are maintained at a consistently high level to realize our growth targets. The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) organization is a centralized department that is responsible for CRE activities worldwide, serving > 40,000 employees.
Role and responsibilities
As the Business Continuity and Risk Manager you manage the portfolio of reliability and availability risks within Corporate Real Estate NL with the goal to contain and mitigate these when necessary. You propose and/or evaluate mitigations activities, oversee the execution and monitor the effectiveness.
Furthermore you will develop and implement an asset safety strategy. You contribute to the development of relevant strategies, standards and policies.
You contribute to the establishment of long term maintenance plans as well as (long term) utility masterplans.
Peers in your team are the Contract & Supplier Managers, Asset Management Specialists, Business Analyst, Innovation & Sustainability manager and Quality & Compliance manager. You also work closely with the Centre of Excellence's Asset Management team and the EHS team to align on ASML CRE Global Risk Management.
You will report to the Manager Strategic Asset Management.
Your tasks
Develop the strategies, policies, standards and tooling for Reliability and Risk Management for CRE. Manage a consistent set of instruments and methodologies.
Translate mission, vision, policy and strategy to a priority model for prioritizing and planning of BC and risk related activities and costs.
Set-up and maintain a CRE risk matrix (specified for asset management) that is derived from the general ASML risk matrix.
Set-up and maintain the risk management processes.
Manage the risk management process, execute risk assessments, define mitigation plans and define business continuity plans. Propose risk mitigation activities and business continuity improvements.
Work with our maintenance suppliers/supply chain to identify risks and define necessary actions.
Sparring partner reliability engineers supply chain
adopt risk and compliance policies.
Initiate, coordinate and/or execute risk and reliability assessments and business impact assessments in order to achieve the specifications as set in policies and/or guidelines.
Generate, maintain and communicate the business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Validate and/or conduct reviews of project designs and specifications.
Education and experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline, e.g. process engineering or (industrial) risk & reliability engineering.
7+ years of relevant working experience in a design, engineering, maintenance, asset or risk management function.
Proven track record in safety and/or reliability.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability.
Social skills; emphatic, listening, enthusing, creating room for innovation/creativity, coaching & collaborating.
Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, dealing with senior and medior management levels, peers, teams, service providers, contractors and consultants.
Strongly results-orientated with a corresponding sense of responsibility; directs work and ensures accountability.
Excellent decision making skills in fast-changing and complex environments, and capable of dealing with uncertainties.
Fluent in spoken and written business English.
