How do I become a Interaction Designer at Coolblue?
You're part of a multi-disciplined team that is responsible for a specific part of the online Coolblue experience. As an interaction designer you work together with passionate developers, data analysts and researchers. Your challenge is to pour all data and insights into a customer-oriented design solution. You facilitate and drive the creative process from start to end. You create concepts, user flows, prototypes and visual designs which are in line with our business goals. Each time you test whether your designs meet the criteria. Together with your stakeholders you create the best user experience for your product. For example, you'll be making the check-out on coolblue.nl or one of our internal tools, a little better every day.
You spend most of your time with your product team. You are also part of a design community with designers from other teams. Within this community you share knowledge and support each other. In this way you improve the way we design throughout Coolblue.
You enjoy doing this
- Having a user-centric mindset that cares about problem-solving and good user journeys.
- Devising and visualizing new functionalities and even brand-new products
- Create user-centred flows and designs based on data and user research.
- Come up with finger licking good visual designs that amaze and inspire our users.
- Facilitating the creative process and focusing on delivery.
- Keep learning, improving your skills and share your wisdom with others.
- Being the glue in between stakeholders, product owners, researchers and developers. It's your goal to deliver the best possible design solution.
You recognize yourself in the following
- At least 3 years of work experience in UX design or similar.
- A strong, demonstrated understanding of UX patterns, libraries, design systems, design kits, recent UI trends as well as a good eye for details.
- Experience in end-to-end UX Design; from gathering input from users to creating great-looking pixel-perfect screens.
- A broad skill set in UX/UI design and solid experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe CC, or Maze.
- There are some beautiful applications in your portfolio that shipped and made an impact.
- Like to deal with a large number of stakeholders and align them to reach the best possible design solution.
