The Ice Cream business is operating in a highly attractive category, as we are part of the 1 trillion snacking and refreshment industry, growing consistently at high pace. We have strong brands equities: 5 of top 10 selling brands including Wall’s, Magnum, Ben &Jerry’s. We are investing to unlock the full growth potential of Ice Cream as a standalone entity, once we separate from Unilever, which is planned to happen by November 2025.

**JOB PURPOSE**:

As the Engineering Manager for our EU and ANZ factories, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our engineering processes, systems, and culture. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of engineering principles and practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, enhance operational efficiency, and foster a culture of innovation.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
1. Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a team of skilled engineers and contractors, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

2. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, R&D teams, and other stakeholders to design and implement new processes, systems, and tools that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

4. Transformation Initiatives: Lead and manage cross-functional teams to execute transformation initiatives, ensuring timely and successful delivery.

5. Talent Development: Recruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent. Provide coaching and professional growth opportunities to team members.

6. Safety and Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of safety and quality performance.

7. Budget Management: Manage the engineering/project budget, optimizing resource allocation and cost control.

8. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

9. Technological Advancements: Stay at the forefront of technological advancements and work on cutting-edge projects that have a real impact.

10. Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive engineering transformation strategy aligned with the company's goals and objectives.

11. Process Improvement: Identify and analyse current engineering processes, systems, and practices to identify areas for improvement.
