Engineering Manager Idp Solution to Okta

We are looking for an Engineering Manager who can lead & Manage the migration of an inhouse IDP solution to Okta
Roles & Responsibilities
- **Project Leadership**: Lead the migration of the in-house identity management system to 3rd party IDP, ensuring a smooth transition, mínimal downtime, and robust security protocols.
- **Technical Strategy**: Define the technical approach for integrating 3rd party IDP into our ecosystem, considering scalability, security, and performance. Create architectural blueprints and guide the team in best practices for identity management.
- **Team Management**: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software engineers through the full lifecycle of the migration process, including design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with product managers, security teams, and stakeholders to define and prioritize requirements for the 3rd party IDP migration. Maintain strong communication across teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
- **Security & Compliance**: Ensure the identity management system complies with all relevant security standards, including GDPR, SOC2, and industry best practices for authentication and authorization.
- **Risk Management**: Proactively identify risks and roadblocks in the migration process and work to resolve issues before they impact project timelines.
- **Performance Monitoring**: Set up monitoring tools to measure the performance, reliability, and security of the 3rd party IDP-integrated system post-migration. Lead the team in resolving any issues that arise during post-migration phases.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Lead efforts to continuously improve the identity and access management processes, using data and feedback to optimize the system for future scaling.
- **Experience**: 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- **Auth0/ Okta/ PingFederate Expertise**: Proven experience in implementing or migrating identity management systems to Auth0/ Okta/ PingFederate, or similar Identity as a Service (IDaaS) platforms.
- **Identity Management Systems**: Deep understanding of modern identity protocols (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML, LDAP) and security standards (MFA, SSO, etc.).
- **Technical Leadership**: Experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring, code reviews, and ensuring quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- **Security Best Practices**: Strong understanding of security and privacy concerns related to identity management, including data encryption, access control, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, SOC2).
- **Collaboration**: Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with product management, security, and other engineering teams.
- **Problem-Solving**: Ability to identify technical and operational risks and devise solutions to mitigate them.
**Must Have**:
- **IDP Experience -** **Experience of migration with at least one of the CIAMs like Okta Auth0, PingFederate, AWS Cognito etc....**:
- **Cloud Platforms**: Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- **Agile Methodologies**: Experience with Agile or Scrum project management methodologies.
